Large Dog Spay & Neuter

 Are you struggling to pay bills, and without our help, cannot afford to get your Large dog “fixed”?  We are offering the following special pricing if you have your Large dog (40lbs and over) spayed or neutered in December or January.

Male or Female: minimum  $35

(The more that you can contribute, the more pet owners we can help!)

An easy-to-fill-out application can be downloaded from our website, picked up at the City of Chico Animal Shelter located at 2579 Fair Street, or call 895-2109 to request one.

Please write "Holiday Special” on your application. You will be contacted by one of our volunteers within one week after receiving your application. Prices will be honored if your application is received by January 31st.

Each application is reviewed individually. We realize that financial circumstances vary; each pet owner's situation is taken under consideration.

***Note*** Although we can help owners with Large dogs 40 lbs and over who live in Chico and also in surrounding areas, due to funding we can only help owners with Small dogs under 40 lbs who live in Chico.

Cat December Special-$25

Paws of Chico is offering a $25 December Special to all cat owners who without our help, cannot afford to get their cat spayed or neutered. An easy to fill out application can be picked up at the City of Chico Animal Shelter located at 2579 Fair Street, downloaded from this site or by calling 895-8510 for assistance.

As the economy continues to deteriorate, it is important that Paws of Chico continue to help the animal population by providing financial assistance for spay/neuter. People are abandoning/dumping animals at an alarming rate. Rescuers often need help in getting them "fixed". Without this program our local shelter would be dealing with even more unwanted animals.

Paws is participating in the Annie B's Community Drive. Now is the time to help the animals in Chico by donating to the Annie B's/Paws of Chico S/N Program. We receive all of your donation, plus a match from NVCF. Please help us so we can continue to help the Chico area animals! Your donation is tax deductible. Donations must be received by Sunday, September 30th at 5:00 p.m.

Patch and Michael are constant companions. Michael lives on disability which is barely paying his bills. Patch came into Michael's life as a small puppy. He found him in a cardboard box in front of a grocery store. The cost of neutering Patch was over $100. There was no way Michael could afford this. He did make a $25 copay to help pay for Patch's neuter. 

World Spay Day 2012 Event - February 25

Paws of Chico and Valley Oak Veterinary Center will be offering a one day clinic for cat owners who can not afford to spay/neuter (fix) their male or female cat.

Cost: $20

Please distribute this flyer to all of your friends and family!

Then bring it in to Powell's on February 13th and Powell's will donate 20% of your purchase to Paws of Chico Spay & Neuter Program. All proceeds will help Chico cats and dogs with spay/neuter.
